Goa is Now Open for Tourism.

Yes! It’s true. Goa has finally reopened tourism under the guidelines of Unlock 4.0. Now the wait is over. After a 5 month long vacation, we need a break from the vacation too right? So let’s just book the next flight to Goa and meet the sun, sand and the sea as there is no need to provide either a COVID negative test or get tested for COVID on arrival. Also, there is no need to self isolate yourself.

If you wish to live up your dream like the movie ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, you can now do so as there is no longer the need for an e-pass while traveling by road nor there are any restrictions on the interstate travel.

The government has also permitted to open up bars, restaurants and cafes from Monday i.e September 1, 2020, while taking precautionary measures like social distancing, mandatory masks and temperature checks. In this Unlock 4.0 though everything seems to open up but beach shacks and casinos have not been given the permission to reopen. Shacks may open after the monsoon in October.

As per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines, the consumption of liquor in the premises of restaurants, bars and Taverns (Portuguese style cafes) is now being allowed for the travellers with some basic rules to follow for the travellers and for the licensors:

  • No selling of liquor to the customers without face masks.

  • Licensors should ensure that the customers maintain a six-meter social distance to avoid spreading the infection.

  • Sanitizers will be made available for the customers in the licensed premises.

  • Licensors are responsible to sanitize the premises frequently, clean all the facilities that are commonly being used by travellers such as doors, handles, counters, etc.

  • All the travellers and the employees are required to have Aarogya Setu App compulsorily to fight against COVID-19.

So these were all the things you need to know before travelling.

Don’t just binge-watch, Binge Travel
