Virgin Atlantic has announced that passenger flights to India from London Heathrow will resume from 2nd September from Delhi and 17th September from Mumbai. It plans to work for 3 flights per week from Delhi and 4 flights per week from Mumbai. It has also put some new measures at the airport and onboard to ensure safety of the customers and the cabin crew.
Changes at London Heathrow Airport :
Due to the current consolidation at the airport, the flights will be working from Terminal 2. You can check-in at Zone D. All the changes are signposted and you can also approach airline staff dressed in red for assistance. According to the change, passengers are requested to not to arrive at the airport more than 3 hours prior to their scheduled flight. Passengers should mandatorily wear masks while arriving at the airport and masks will also be provided at the airport. Due to the limited food shops and restaurants open, you are allowed to carry your own food.
Changes in Flight Food Offerings :
For the safety of the customers, the food is prepared and packaged under COVID safe environment and monitored strictly until it is served. The Pre-Select meals and Dietary meals are not available right now instead the airline does have some delicious resigned meals. For Economy and Premium Economy class passengers will receive a ‘Fly Safe, Eat Well’ meal box which will include 2 hot meal options, cheese and biscuits and dessert pot washed down with an option of wine, beer, soft drinks and bottled water. Similarly, Upper-Class passengers will receive an option of 3 hot meals, desserts including cheese and biscuits and a ciabatta roll.
In addition to it, all the passengers will also be provided with health kits which will include face masks, hand sanitizer and hand gloves.
